Street racer Alex Taylor's life is shattered when his older brother Dayton, leader of the 5-10 motor club, is gunned down before his eyes. Framed for the murder by a corrupt FBI agent and betrayed by the club's ruthless new boss, Shiv, Alex is sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. Five years later, FBI agent Zoe Winters offers him a way out: a temporary release in exchange for going undercover to expose the corruption and bring Shiv to justice. To do it, Alex must infiltrate the 5-10s and climb their ranks from the bottom, proving himself behind the wheel in race after race. His mission takes him across a vast, open recreation of the United States, from Detroit and Chicago to New York, Miami, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, building a crew of skilled allies along the way as he chases both redemption and revenge.
